A blind ad, also known as a blind job advertisement or blind recruitment, is a job posting or vacancy notice that does not reveal the name of the employing business. To protect anonymity, a blind ad does not include the employer's name, logo, or any other identifying information. The goal of a blind advertisement is to attract a wide pool of candidates based on their credentials and talents rather than their previous preconceptions about a certain firm or organization. Blind advertising, which disguise the employer's name, attempt to remove prejudices such as gender, ethnicity, or reputation while also promoting a fair and unbiased selection process.

Example

A blind ad is a job offering that reads, "A leading technology company is seeking a highly skilled software engineer with expertise in Java programming." The ideal applicant will have prior experience designing scalable apps and a solid knowledge of software development concepts. In this case, the advertisement describes the job needs and required credentials but does not reveal the name or any other identifying information about the technological business. This allows candidates to concentrate on their skills and talents rather than being swayed by the reputation or perceived prejudices connected with a certain firm.
