Boolean search is a way of locating personnel recruiting information that uses Boolean logical operators such as "AND", "OR", and "NOT" to define particular search parameters and restrict the search results down.
Example
If a recruiter wants to identify applicants with marketing expertise who live in New York City, they might use the term "Boolean search" and the keyword "marketing AND New York" in the search engine. Only candidates whose profiles meet both of these criteria will appear in the search results.
